Import process

Prerequisites

For the numbers to be imported correctly we suggest to use the full international format starting with the plus sign, e.g. +491777777777 for Germany. Your numbers can then be from "mixed" countries, i.e. your list can contain Cypriot, German and Italian numbers at the same time and all of those will be imported correctly.

If your list is in the local "short" number format, you can alternatively provide these number in the short format but would have to make sure that the correct Default Prefix is configured in your account settings. This will come with the restriction, that all number on your file need to be from one country only.

Importing

You can import contacts in the List Management section of your SMS.to profile:

As a first step, please choose the list you want to upload your contact into. Then you will be able to choose between 2 methods of uploading your contact data:

  1. Upload file     or
  2. Paste List

Upload File

Save your data into a CSV file - please make sure you adhere to the described formatting rules - and select this file in the upload window. If you are unsure how to use the right format, you can also download an example file, which will come with the correct formatting.

Alternatively, you can also choose to go with the copy & paste approach described below.

Paste List

When this option is chosen, you can use the text input box to paste your (comma separated) contact data into it, click on "convert to table" and start the import.

Import Errors

In case the data could not be processed correctly, please check for errors in the import log and try to resolve the issues mentioned there.
